Confused between Dzire and Triber. I’m a first-time car buyer and will occasionally travel with 4 adults and 2 kids. I like the Triber’s space and seating, but am concerned about its 1-litre engine and fuel efficiency with AMT. Another option is the Dzire. How does the Dzire’s engine compare with the Triber’s? Which car should I consider?

The Maruti Suzuki Dzire has a better engine and smoother gearbox. However, since you will travel with up to 6 passengers, the Dzire is not recommended for you.

The three-row Renault Triber offers seating for up to 7 and is the one to buy. Yes, its 1-litre engine can feel sluggish with a full load, but performance should be given less priority than the safety of dedicated seating for all passengers.

I am planning to buy my first car, and my monthly running would be around 1,000 km. I need a comfortable car, as around 60% of my driving will be on highways, mostly on a fixed route. I am getting the Tata Curvv EV for Rs 17 lakh and the Kia Seltos Diesel HTX for Rs 17.5 lakh. I also have an EV charger at home. I’m confused about which 7-seater car to buy: the 7XO diesel or the Innova Crysta GX Plus. The Crysta has fewer features, while the 7XO A7 offers a lot more. Please guide me on which one I should choose.

Go for the Mahindra XUV 7XO diesel. The Toyota Innova Crysta GX+ is a very solid, reliable, and comfortable MPV, but it is a very basic variant with very few features and a fairly plain cabin. The 7XO AX7, on the other hand, is a much more modern and feature-rich SUV with a far more premium cabin, a stronger diesel engine, and a more engaging driving experience. This Mahindra car also offers a better balance between family comfort and long-distance touring capability. This Toyota car is still the better choice if your absolute priority is long-term reliability, mileage, and Toyota's ownership experience, but at this price point, the 7XO AX7 simply feels like a much more complete and satisfying package.
