I am looking for a quick, reliable, and good handling motorcycle for use in the city and an occasional trip on the highway. It should have fantastic ride quality which is why my doubts lie in general with the capabilities of monoshock suspension setups. So, I find myself shortlisting the Hero Xtreme Sports and the Bullet Classic 350. Please help me through.

AAA There is no reason to be skeptical about bikes which use a monoshock, as this makes a vastly superior suspension system as compared to twin shock absorbers. We suggest you look at the Suzuki Gixxer if you want a more fuel-efficient 150, or a Bajaj Pulsar 200NS in the event you are looking for a more powerful bike. Both these motorcycles are top-of-their-class models and offer good ride quality.
