•21hI currently own a Volkswagen Polo for the past 16 years and am planning to upgrade. My usage is evenly split between city and highway driving, with an annual running of around 10,000 km and a budget of ₹12 lakh. I am confused between the Skoda Kylaq Signature AT, Citroën C3X Turbo AT, and Mahindra XUV 3XO MX2 Pro AT. I am specifically looking for a torque converter automatic. I have test-driven all three. My main concerns with the Kylaq are the limited rear foot space due to the front seat anchors and the AC performance, which felt inadequate for Chennai weather. I liked the C3X the most overall, but I am worried about long-term ownership aspects. I also have concerns about the fuel efficiency of the 3XO.

The Skoda Kylaq will feel like a natural upgrade from your Polo. The build quality and dynamics will seem very familiar to you, being a Polo owner. This would be the best upgrade for you; however, if you're not comfortable with it, you could consider the Citroen C3 X for its excellent ride-handling balance and fantastic turbo-petrol engine.
Yes, its service network is limited, so consider it only if there is a Citroen touchpoint close by. The Mahindra 3XO is a heavy car, and as a result, fuel efficiency is likely to be the least of the three, but it is the most rounded in terms of performance, ride comfort and space, hence it gets our vote.
