I’m planning to buy a compact SUV with an automatic transmission. I’m considering the new Venue and the Brezza. Most of my driving is in hilly areas, and I’m not sure about the Venue’s DCT and smaller 1.0-litre engine. Would this cause issues in the hills? Is the Brezza AT a better option because of its torque converter gearbox and bigger engine?

Yes, the Maruti Suzuki Brezza's bigger engine is certainly more responsive on tap, but fast-overtaking could be a bit of a struggle due to its relatively weak mid-range performance.
Instead, you can consider the Mahindra XUV 3XO with its 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine and 6-speed torque converter transmission, which is likely to be the better bet for driving in hilly regions.
