•16wHi Team. I’m 34 from Mumbai and planning to buy my first car. I’m choosing between the Hyundai Venue HX8 DCT (around ₹15.5 lakh on-road) and the Kia Sonet HTX DCT (around ₹13.5 lakh after discounts). While the Sonet offers similar features and better interiors, I feel the Venue looks bigger, more premium, and has better space. However, the ₹2 lakh price gap is making the decision difficult. I intend to keep the car for at least 5 years and don’t want to get bored with the interior.

While you can save a big amount on the Kia Sonet, we feel the Hyundai Venue HX8 is worth the extra spend for you, especially since you intend to keep the car for five years or so.
The Venue's larger touchscreen and more modern interface count for a lot inside, and will keep the car looking fresh inside for quite some time. As you have rightly noted, the Venue also has the edge in terms of space.
Also, the Hyundai Venue is essentially a newer-gen vehicle and will fetch you more resale value when it's time to sell it in the future.
