F2 Monaco GP and MotoGP’s Hungarian GP are also coming up this weekend.

One of motorsport’s most iconic venues takes centre stage this weekend, with F1 and F2 heading to the iconic streets of Monaco. MotoGP, meanwhile, visits Hungary’s Balaton Park circuit, setting up a packed schedule for motorsport fans.

Here is your complete guide on when and where to tune in from India.

F1 Monaco GP schedule

Kimi Antonelli enters the Monaco GP with a formidable 43-point lead over his Mercedes teammate George Russell. However, with chassis performance being far more crucial around the tight and twisty streets of Monaco, Ferrari looks like a strong contender for the race win this year.

Given the nature of the track, F1’s governing body FIA has also removed active aero for the Monaco GP. What this essentially means is that the cars will be locked in ‘corner mode’ for the entire race. “F1’s governing body, the FIA, have made this decision with safety in mind, given that the street track features few straights and is otherwise made up of tight, twisty sections,” explained an official statement.

F2 Monaco GP schedule

Last year, Kush Maini made history as the first Indian to taste victory at Monaco. He returns to the street track one year later for another shot at victory. He’s shown impressive pace early on, setting the second fastest time in Thursday’s Practice session, just 0.020sec behind Gabriele Mini.

Mini also leads the overall standings, 21 points ahead of Rafael Camara, while Maini stands P14 overall.

To avoid any traffic-related issues, F2 qualifying will be divided into two groups at Monaco. Whoever sets the fastest overall time will start from pole. The fastest driver from the other group will start from P2, and the positions will alternate back and forth to determine the rest of the grid.

MotoGP Hungarian GP schedule

Aprilia comes to Balaton Park as the manufacturer to beat after a dominant display at Mugello. Marco Bezzecchi currently leads the standings, 17 points ahead of his teammate Jorge Martin.

Marc Marquez will be another rider to watch out for. The reigning world champion made his race return at Mugello after undergoing double surgery and finished a commendable P7. Balaton Park is a less demanding circuit and its anti-clockwise layout plays to Marquez’ strengths. However, he has downplayed his victory chances, stating that “if I fight for the win or podium, it means that the others are doing something not in a good way”.
