Tata Motors has announced that it has opened online bookings for the Bolt hatchback, the second vehicle after the Zest, from the company's Horizonnext umbrella. Interested customers can book their car for Rs 11,000 on the company's website (https://bookonline.tatamotors.com/).

The Bolt hatchback gets Tata Motors' new design language that was first rolled out with the Zest. It draws power from a 1.2-litre turbocharged Revotron MPFi petrol engine making 89bhp of power and 14.27kgm of torque.

Tata Motors has said that they have concentrated on quality in the Bolt hatchback. They have put into place a practice where the parts supplied by component makers are put through a thorough check, before they are allowed to proceed to the assembly line. The company held a five-day event for all component suppliers for the Zest and the Bolt. Around 300 auto component manufacturers arrived with over 600 different parts. Each part was fitted and checked for any niggles that could create an issue in the final-production model.
