The upcoming Smart Fortwo and Forfour city cars have been previewed in an official video from the manufacturer.
Both models are due to go on sale internationally shortly after their public debuts at the Paris motor show in October. The new Forfour, in particular, will act as a rival to the likes of the Renault Twingo, Citroen C1, Toyota Aygo and Peugeot 108. The Fortwo will be built in Hambach, France, while the Forfour will be built alongside the Twingo at Renault's factory in Slovenia.
The video shows how various concepts, from 2011's Smart Forvision and Forspeed and 2012's For-us and Forstars, through to 2013's Fourjoy have been used to inspire the new models. The film also emphasises key elements about the Fortwo, such as its new, 10cm-wider dimensions and chic shape.
