MG has introduced a battery-as-a-rental (BaaS) scheme for the Cyberster and M9 EVs, which are sold through the manufacturer's more premium 'Select' outlets. With the BaaS scheme, MG has priced the Cyberster at Rs 72.49 lakh and the M9 at Rs 69.99 lakh, which is an upfront price reduction of up to Rs 10.01 lakh. However, a battery rental fee of Rs 8 per km is being charged if this scheme is opted for.
