Mercedes Benz India has kickstarted their Auto Expo 2010 campaign with a bang by launching the S500L saloon and the GL350 CDi SUV.  The S500L is the most expensive car produced in India and the GL350 is probably the biggest SUV on the market.

The S500L is equipped with a new SPLITVIEW technology for the COMAND control and display system, centrally positioned in the console. Other new features are the SD memory card slot and the Bluetooth interface.

The new leviathan GL350CDI on the other hand reaches a top speed of 210kph and races to 0-100 in 9.5sec. The unique 4MATIC permanent four-wheel drive system provides the GL with greater handling irrespective of the conditions. The two individual third-row seats can be folded at the press of a button to create a flat loading surface.

“Our cars reflect excitement and excellence, and it will be evident through the products that we will unveil in 2010”, said Dr. Wilfried Aulbur, MD and CEO, Mercedes Benz India.

The S500L is priced at Rs 95lakh and the GL350CDI will set you back by Rs. 64.9 lakhs (both prices are ex-showroom Delhi).
