Mercedes Benz launches new Grand edition of the M-class SUV. Available in two variants, Grand Sports and Grand Executive, the M-class now offers significant features in styling and equipment list.
The new M-class Grand edition gets redesigned darkened headlamps, LED daytime driving light integrated in the front bumper, 10-spoke 19inch light-alloy wheels. On the inside, the SUV comes with stylish fine-tuning and new high-grade materials with a new two-tone colour scheme. In addition, the interiors flaunt an AMG ergonomic sports steering wheel with a Grand edition badge on the central console.
On the safety front, the M-class is loaded with seven airbags as standard, belt tensioners, crash responsive NECK-PRO head restraints and PRE-SAFE protection system. Mercedes takes the game ahead with the M-class by adding features like permanent 4-wheel drive with traction control, downhill speed regulation, acceleration skid control, off-road ABS system, AIRMATIC air suspension and adaptive damping system. All these features have helped the SUV score 5-star ratings in the NCAP crash test.
The new M-class Grand edition continues to be powered by the same 2987cc V6 diesel engine churning out 224bhp and 52kgm of torque. The Grand Executive Editionis priced at Rs 47.91lakh, going up to Rs 54.11lakh for the Grand Sports edition (prices ex-showroom Pune).
