The Mercedes-Benz Classic Car Rally 2026 will celebrate 140 years of Mercedes by gathering together some of its most iconic cars.

The 2026 edition of the Mercedes-Benz Classic Car Rally (MBCCR) will take place in Mumbai on November 21 and 22. Set to showcase an 80-90 car line-up, this year’s rally will focus on telling the Mercedes-Benz story via its iconic cars.

To be held on the stunning lawns of Taj Lands End in Bandra, Mumbai, this year’s event will be a once-in-a-lifetime occasion where we will celebrate 140 years of Mercedes design, 140 years of Mercedes engineering and technology, and 140 years of Mercedes innovation and ingenuity.

For the second year running the event will be open to the public with a limited number of tickets on sale for Saturday the 21st. The tickets will allow you to access the lawns so you can see our museum like lineup of Mercedes’ greatest hits. There are only a limited number of tickets, so please go get yours soon (link for tickets here).

Show goers can hope to see some of Mercedes’ titans with the Nurburg being an early example of Mercedes engineering and perfection.

Mercedes were pioneers of both supercharging and fuel injection and there will be cars at the show that will showcase some of the earliest efforts. The 1934 500K and the 1955 300Sc will represent these technologies. Showgoers will also get to see how Mercedes evolved from the post war 1930 170s and later 1953 Pontons, the latter Mercedes’ first monocoque, to the 1959 W111 fintail that was the first to deploy front and rear crumple zones.

We’ll also have a 1963 600 Grosser limo, with all its incredible tech, the birth of the S Class via the 1965 W108 and 1972 W116 and the loads and loads of technology Mercedes pioneered with these cars. Stuff like Anti-lock Braking, airbags alongside seatbelt pretensioners, Electronic Stability Program, and followed closely by PRE-SAFE predictive occupant protection in 2002. Distronic adaptive cruise control came in as far back as 1998 and Magic Body Control in 2013, which used cameras to scan road surfaces and actively adjust the suspension.

Today S-Class carries on that legacy, Drive Pilot, the world's first internationally certified Level 3 automated driving system allows drivers to legally take their hands off the wheel and eyes off the road in designated conditions.

Also at the show, an early gen one G-Wagen convertible, all the E-Classes till the W210, a new Maybach SL (ever seen one of these?), all the SLs, a recent AMG -GT R, the SLS with its gullwing doors and even a convertible version.

Following last year's successful expansion, the rally route will once again stretch all the way to Nariman Point, allowing enthusiasts to witness a spectacular convoy of historic Mercedes-Benz models against the backdrop of the city's most famous landmarks. The rally will flag off on Sunday at 9:30 am, with the cars turning around at Marine Drive after the coastal road tunnel.

The convoy will be flagged off from the Taj Lands End hotel in Bandra West before heading towards the Bandra Reclamation Promenade. The Bandra-Worli Sea Link and the scenic Coastal Road will be next before the cars emerge at Marine Drive.

With the Arabian Sea on one side and a stunning collection of Mercedes-Benz classics on the other, Marine Drive is expected to be one of the most popular spectator points along the route. The convoy will proceed to Nariman Point before taking a U-turn and retracing its route back towards Bandra, concluding once again at the Taj Lands End.
