Mercedes launches the iconic Maybach brand in India.

Mercedes-Benz launched its super-luxury saloon brand, the Maybach in India. The German luxury car maker celebrated its 125th anniversary by raising the bar of luxury motoring in India.

The iconic Maybach brand will be available in two top-of-the-line variants - Maybach 57 S and Maybach 62. The model numbers reflect the respective lengths of the automobiles; the 57 is more likely to be owner-driven while the longer 62 is designed with a chauffeur in mind. The 57 S will be powered by the 611bhp 6.0-litre V12 engine manufactured by AMG, while the 62 variant will be powered by the Mercedes-sourced 5.5-liter twin-turbo V12, generating 537bhp.
