Mahindra has launched their second off-road training facility situated in Mangalore, Karnataka. The facility is spread over 150 acres of land offering a large variety of off-road obstacles to provide training for all kinds of situations. The Academy will offer two courses – Basic Level (called Getting Dirty) and Intermediate Level (named Trail Survivor), while the advanced Course, dubbed Global Explorer will continue to be held at the off-road academy headquarters in Igatpuri.

The basic course ‘Getting Dirty’ is for rookie off-road enthusiasts. It’s an elementary course with a focus on allowing participants to enjoy 4x4 driving in a safe and controlled environment. The intermediate course ‘Trail Survivor’ is one level above Getting Dirty. Tasks from Getting Dirty are included in Trail Survivor as well, but here the theory is more technical, delving deeper into the vehicle's dynamics, and driving techniques. The obstacles are tougher, along with the added challenge of off-roading at night.

The course has Mahindra’s Thar 4X4 CRDe as training vehicles for participants to learn on and use to improve their off-roading skills. These courses will be held on weekends, with the basic course starting on Saturday morning and ending post-lunch. The Trail Survivor course will begin on Saturday afternoon and conclude on Sunday.
