Hyundai will soon upgrade the Grand i10 hatchback line-up in the Indian market with more equipment. Just like the Xcent compact sedan, the car will come with standard safety features like dual front airbags, ABS and EBD in all variants.

Furthermore, dealers tell us that Hyundai will add more equipment to the lower trims of the hatchback in order to make it more appealing; the Grand i10 Magna will get standard roof rails and side-impact beams on doors, while the Grand i10 Sportz will get LED daytime running lamps and a rear spoiler as standard.

The Hyundai Grand i10 range in India is sold with 1.2-litre petrol and diesel engine options. The petrol version is also sold with an optional four speed automatic; there is no diesel-auto on offer. Expect a slight bump in Hyundai Grand i10 prices once the updated cars reach dealerships sometime later this month.

The company has already begun work on the next-gen Grand i10 hatchback, however, launch of the all-new model is still some time away.
