The Honda S660 roadster has been seen undisguised in production-ready form. A car specifically for the Japanese market, the S660 roadster conforms to the Japanese Kei regulations that do not allow engine capacities beyond 660cc. Initially unveiled as a concept at the 2013 Tokyo motor show, the sportscar has been created as a successor to the original Honda Beat roadster.

Most of the car stays true to the concept, albeit with a the tweaked grille, new head- and tail-lamp assemblies, less sculpting, and smaller wheels. On the inside, it gets a Jazz-like steering wheel, and the instrument cluster is part digital, with quite a few buttons on the dashboard.

In production form, the S660 roadster measures 3,395mm in length, 1,475mm in width and 1,180mm in height. It gets a 660cc, three-cylinder, mid-mounted, turbocharged petrol engine that makes 63bhp and 10.6kgm of torque. Power is sent to the rear wheels via a six-speed manual or a CVT gearbox. While the power reserves aren’t attention-grabbing, bear in mind that the S660 is expected to weigh less than 1,000 kg.
