With the growing awareness about safety equipment in cars, manufacturers are equipping their offerings with features such as airbags and ABS. In a similar move, Honda has made dual front airbags as standard on the Jazz, its premium hatchback.
Until now, the safety feature was available on the SV, V and the fully-loaded VX variants of the hatchback. Now, driver and passenger-side airbags will also be offered on the base ‘E’ and ‘S’ variants.

However, the addition of the safety feature has also resulted in a Rs 12,000 bump in prices of both the base variants.

It’s worth noting that both rivals of the Honda Jazz – the Hyundai i20 and the Maruti Baleno – offer dual front airbags as standard across all their variants. The i20 even gets side curtain airbags on its fully-loaded variant. But, only the Baleno comes with ABS and EBD as standard.

Here’s a look at the latest ex-showroom, Delhi prices of all three models
