Carlos Ghosn will remain the chief of French car major Renault till 2014 atleast. Renault’s Board of Directors has re-elected 56-year old Ghosn as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer for a four-year period, following the renewal of his directorship by the Annual General Meeting of April 30, 2010.
Carlos Ghosn has been the CEO of Renault since 2001. Ghosn steered Renault into India through a joint venture with Mahindra & Mahindra in 2005. Renault exited the JV by selling its 49 percent stake recently. It’s now busy building its wholly owned subsidiary in India. Renault says it will launch a range of new models in India from 2011.
