Audi conducted the Audi India Range drive in Bengaluru to showcase its Indian product portfolio. The program gave participants an opportunity to experience the Audi's entire range on sale here on a purpose-built course.

The event, which was also attended by Indian test cricket team captain, Virat Kohli, saw the market introduction of the new R8 V10 Plus too. The car was launched at the Delhi Auto Expo earlier this year, where the carmaker revealed its price for Mumbai and New Delhi.

The R8 V10 Plus is powered by a naturally-aspirated 5.2-litre V10 engine that produces 610hp. The sportscar can go from 0 to 100kph in a claimed 3.2 seconds and has a top speed of 330kph. The next-generation Audi R8 V10 Plus is priced at Rs 2.55 crore (ex-showroom, Maharashtra) and Rs 2.60 crore (ex-showroom, Karnataka). Also on show were the other cars in Audi’s Indian portfolio that includes the A8 L, A6, A4, A3 Sedan, A3 Cabriolet, RS 7 Sportback, RS 6 Avant, S5 Sportback, Q7, Q5, Q3 Quattro and TT Coupe.

Joe King, Audi India boss, also took the opportunity to give an outline of what to expect from the company in the future. He said, “Our focus is on the road ahead for the next ten years. We will be introducing products in new segments, with new body styles, new design language and new technologies to celebrate this success. We will also focus on strengthening our dealer network by introducing new customer touchpoints and innovative concepts like the Audi Mobile Terminal which is already a success in Tier II and Tier III cities. We will continue to provide the best to our customers in India and will launch at least ten new products in 2016.”

Of the models headed to India, we can confirm Audi will launch the new A4 in August, the updated A3 Sedan in October and the SQ7 performance SUV in November 2016.
