The pre-facelift XUV500 is being sold on discounts going upto Rs 1 lakh.

Mahindra launched the heavily updated XUV500 range in April this year. The model received quite a few styling tweaks and more features, all around. The refreshed SUV has already been selling in steady numbers, just like its predecessor. In a bid to clear unsold stocks of the 2018 Mahindra XUV500 in its pre-facelift avatar, the company is offering very attractive discounts on the SUV.

First up: the top-spec W10 manual and the W10 automatic variants currently get a flat Rs 1 lakh discount. This variant comes with equipment like a sunroof, black interiors and a reverse camera.

Discounts aren't restricted to just the top-spec variants. Leftover stocks of the lower variants like the W4, W6, W8 and W9 in both manual and automatic gearbox options are being sold on discounts going as high as Rs 91,000. This translates to an attractive on-road price (Mumbai) of around Rs 17.5 lakh after discount for a pre-facelift, brand-new XUV500 W6 AT variant. It also comes with a 7.0-inch infotainment system, static bending headlamps and rain-sensing wipers.

The 2018 pre-facelift XUV500 was available with a 2.2-litre diesel engine good for 140hp and 330Nm of torque, mated to a six-speed manual or a six-speed automatic gearbox. However, Mahindra is not offering any discounts the petrol-powered XUV500 that comes with a 2.2-litre petrol engine that puts out 140hp and 320Nm of torque.

Additionally, the company is offering decent discounts on other models too. The top-spec Scorpio S11 gets a cash discount of Rs 20,000 while the select variants of KUV100 (pre-facelift) are being offered at discounts of around Rs 40,000.

Mahindra’s soon-to-be-replaced flagship SUV, the SsangYong Rexton gets a whopping Rs 4.5 lakh cash discount, too – this translates to an on-road price of around Rs 25.6 lakh (Mumbai) for the top-spec RX-7 variant.

The company is not offering any discounts on the retro-looking Thar lifestyle SUV, though.

Mahindra is expected to introduce three new models before end of this year. These include the Marazzo MPV, the S201 compact SUV and the Rexton-based new flagship SUV.
