Okinawa is among the early entrants in India's electric two-wheeler market, having started operations in 2015 with a focus on affordable electric scooters for everyday commuting. Unlike brands that later expanded into motorcycles, Okinawa has continued to concentrate exclusively on electric scooters. Its current portfolio spans low-speed models such as the R30 and Lite, alongside high-speed offerings like the PraisePro, iPraise+, Ridge 100, Dual 100 and the flagship Okhi-90. All Okinawa scooters are 100% electric which makes them quite suitable for daily city commutes with low running costs. 

The brand has largely targeted urban commuters looking for low running costs and practical mobility. Several Okinawa scooters feature removable lithium-ion battery packs, making charging more convenient for owners who do not have access to dedicated parking with charging facilities. The Okhi-90 sits at the top of the range, while the Dual 100 is aimed at commercial and delivery applications.

Okinawa played an important role in the early growth of India's electric scooter segment, but it now faces much stronger competition from newer EV manufacturers and established two-wheeler brands. While the company continues to offer one of the widest electric scooter lineups in the country, prospective buyers often weigh factors such as after-sales support and dealership experience alongside the scooters' specifications before making a purchase.
