Royal Enfield gear and accessories now available on Flipkart

Royal Enfield has entered a partnership with e-commerce giant Flipkart to sell its complete range of gear and accessories online. The Chennai-based manufacturer of classic motorcycles will sell its entire range of branded apparel and accessories including helmets, riding gear, saddle bags, along with lifestyle products such as shoes, T-shirts and jackets on the e-commerce website.

Commenting on the alliance, Samrat Som, head of Gear Business, Royal Enfield said, “Until now our gear range was available in India in most of our dealerships, Royal Enfield’s online store and also through exclusive gear stores in New Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Chandigarh, Amritsar and Pune. The collaboration will allow us to make the gear range and the brand more accessible and approachable to a larger set of the audience through Flipkart’s wide customer base across the country.”

Commenting on the exclusive partnership, Adarsh K Menon, VP - Electronics and Auto at Flipkart said, “Royal Enfield is one of the most trusted and respected motorcycle brands in the country and represents an increasingly growing community of riders across India. We are extremely excited to be associated with the flag-bearer of the riding community in India that has set a very high benchmark in terms of the quality offered on their product range. This collaboration enables motorcycle enthusiasts and fans of Royal Enfield to be a part of this iconic global brand by having an easy access to authentic and genuine gear range, from the comfort of their homes.”

Royal Enfield accessories will be available under the Flipkart Advantage benefit, which will ensure timely and hassle-free delivery for online customers, the company said.

Flipkart is said to have witnessed a growth of 200 percent in the auto accessories category in 2016-17 so far as compared to 2015-16. Currently, the category has more than 3.5 lakh products. In the first phase, the website will increase the collection of over 70 products, which will be followed by another 50 more auto accessories in the second phase, thus covering the entire Royal Enfield accessory range.
