After several years of selling motorcycles through importers, BMW Motorrad has finally started operations as a part of BMW India. The Bavarian motorcycle manufacturer has already begun setting up dealerships and service centres; the first phase of which will see the opening of four dealerships, one each in Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Bengaluru and Pune.
BMW Motorrad will offer its complete range of motorcycles, ranging from the R 1200 series to the S 1000 series and the R nineT series. All its motorcycles will be brought to the Indian market via the CBU route.
The much-awaited G 310 R, however, will not debut with the rest of the BMW Motorrad range right now. While we do expect it this year, BMW is tight-lipped about the market launch of its first small-capacity motorcycle.
In the meanwhile, the rest of the BMW range of motorcycles will be available with the following price tags:
