After providing the premium bike segment with unique touches of speed and style in the R15, FZ and Fazer, Japanese motorcycle giants Yamaha have now stuck another foot in the commuter motorcycle doorway. This time around it’s a 106cc, air cooled, 4-stroke, SOHC engined bike that bares YBR stickers on the side panels.
Yamaha, who are known for their durable and low maintenance two wheelers, claim that the newly launched motorcycle employs a 4-speed gearbox that provides optimum torque throughout the rpm range and ensures stress-free riding in congested city conditions.
Speaking on the launch, Yukimine Tsuji, CEO & MD, India Yamaha Motors, said, “After successfully launching our bikes in the 150cc segment, we have now launched a commuter motorcycle YBR 110. Like other Yamaha bikes, YBR 110 carries Yamaha DNA of Performance, Innovation & Design. We are confident that we will replicate the success of our premium segment bikes with the launch of all new YBR 110 in entry level space.”
The YBR enters the market aimed at the wallets of middle income class individuals who want to have a stylish and comfortable commuter bike. YBR 110 is priced at Rs 41,000 (ex-showroom, Delhi) and will be available in three colour shades - Black, Red and Black & Red combination.
