Triumph Motorcycles has sold the highest number of motorcycles globally, since the brand was relaunched over 30 years ago. The firm sold 54,432 units globally in the last financial year, reveals Triumph. The previous record was 52,089 motorcycles, sold in 2013, which translates into a year-on-year increase of 4.5 percent.

Paul Stroud, director for sales and marketing, Triumph Motorcycles India, says that India has played a crucial role in contributing to the overall sales figures for Triumph, and he positively believes that leisure motorcycling as a whole is gaining popularity once again.

Vimal Sumbly, managing director, Triumph Motorcycle India added that Triumph has received good response from its customers in its very first year here in India.

Triumph is continuing with its investment plans in India and Brazil to increase sales amid challenging economic conditions. The British brand is currently present in ten cities across India, offering high capacity motorcycles across segments. Internationally, Triumph sells 28 different models and is present across 57 different countries through a wide network of 745 dealers.
