Suzuki has taken the wraps off the SV-7GX at EICMA 2025, adding a middleweight sport tourer to its line-up. The new model uses the iconic 645cc V-twin from the SV650 and V-Strom 650XT, now updated to meet Euro 5+ regulations.

The SV-7GX is powered by the 645cc V-twin that we experienced in India aboard the now-discontinued V-Strom 650XT. On the SV-7GX, peak output figures are 73.4hp and 64Nm of torque. The bike now features a ride-by-wire throttle and includes three riding modes, three-level adjustable traction control and a bi-directional quick shifter.
Suspension duties are handled by a 41mm telescopic fork with 125mm of travel at the front and a preload-adjustable monoshock with 129mm of travel at the rear. The SV-7GX runs on 17-inch alloy wheels fitted with Pirelli Angel GT II tyres, sized 120/70-ZR17 at the front and 160/60-ZR17 at the rear. Braking hardware comprises dual 290mm front discs and a 240mm rear disc. With a kerb weight of 211kg and a seat height of 795mm, the SV-7GX should be a relatively accessible motorcycle for most riders. Suzuki has also positioned the handlebar closer to the rider for a more relaxed riding position.
The SV-7GX comes equipped with full LED lighting, a 4.2-inch TFT display, an adjustable windscreen and knuckle guards. Suzuki claims that the 17.4-litre fuel tank gives the bike a touring range of over 400km, and with optional accessories like a top case and side panniers, the bike should make for a capable touring machine.
The Suzuki SV-7GX will be available from mid-2026 and is positioned to compete against the Yamaha Tracer 7 and Kawasaki Versys 650. Pricing has not been announced yet.
