Harley Davidson appoints its first five dealerships across India with bookings starting from April.

The 2010 model line-up consists of 12 models priced between Rs 6.95 lakh and Rs 34.95 lakh (ex-showroom New Delhi). The bookings will commence from April 20 with deliveries starting from June.

The US bike maker will have exclusive dealerships in Mumbai, New Delhi, Bengaluru, Chandigarh and Hyderabad. These dealers will be the sole retailers for Harley-Davidson motorcycles, genuine parts, accessories and apparels. The dealerships will also operate authorised service stations across the five cities in India.

On the occasion, Anoop Prakash, MD, Harley-Davidson India, said, “I’m delighted and proud to welcome on-board the first dealers in India to the Harley-Davidson family. Each owner brings distinct talents and a shared passion for delivering extraordinary customer experiences. Our aim is to create a strong network that will provide our customers a world-class Harley-Davidson ownership experience, and we are off to a great start.”

Harley Davidson’s 12 new motorcycles for India will be from 5 different families namely the Sportster, Dyna, Softail, Touring and V-Rod. The XL 883L Sportster will be the cheapest Harley-Davidson that will retail at Rs 6.95 and the Flhtcuse Ultra Classic Electra Glide priced at Rs 34.95 will the range topper.
