Ducati is celebrating a successful year of the Monster 821 in India. According to the company, the 821 has become one of the largest-selling sport-nakeds in India with over 100 motorcycles sold in less than one year. As part of this celebration, the company is offering two of its Monsters – the 797+ and the 821 – with free accessories for a limited period.
Buyers purchasing the Monster 821 will get a free Termignoni slip-on exhaust system and a bi-directional quickshifter, while the Monster 797+ comes with only the Termignoni slip-on exhaust system. This offer is valid from April 1 to April 30, 2019, across all Ducati dealerships in the country. A dealer we spoke to informed us that if not for the offer, the exhaust would cost a buyer around Rs 1.25 lakh, and the quickshifter would cost around Rs 25,000.
The Ducati Monster 797+ is priced at Rs 8.60 lakh, while the Monster 821 costs Rs 10.99 lakh. Interestingly, the 821 currently costs Rs 1.48 lakh more than what it cost when it was launched in May 2018. Its current price tag puts it up against Triumph’s Street Triple RS (Rs 11.13 lakh), whereas when it was first launched, it went up against the lower-spec Street Triple S that is priced at Rs 9.19 lakh.
