The Piaggio Group has announced that warranties and free service schedules on all Aprilia and Vespa products have been extended, in light of the current coronavirus crisis and the resulting nationwide lockdown. Customers who own Piaggio two-wheelers and have either a warranty that expires, or scheduled free services that falls in the lockdown period can avail these services for 30 days after the nationwide lockdown is lifted.

Speaking about the Piaggio Group's efforts in the battle against COVID-19, Diego Graffi, Managing Director and CEO, Piaggio India said, “We applaud the government’s effort and determination to contain and control the spread of the virus. In the present times of uncertainty, we stand committed to our Vespa and Aprilia customers with our channel partners and assure them of our unwavering support. We want to ensure that our customers face no hurdles and are able to avail services seamlessly.”

The Piaggio Group thus joins a vast list of manufacturers to have offered similar service extensions to help customers.

While doing what it can in Baramati, Piaggio has installed a sanitisation unit at the Sassoon Government Hospital in Pune to help healthcare workers. The automaker has also distributed Personal Protective Equipment (PPEs) for these frontline workers.
