What we know about the 2027 Street Triple, Tiger 900 and Tiger 1200
The Street Triple gets a major overhaul
We know that the 2027 Street Triple moves to a new 798cc three-cylinder engine developed alongside Triumph’s involvement in the Moto2 championship. Earlier this year, Triumph revealed that the engine for its Moto2 application would feature a new cylinder head, redesigned valvetrain, new combustion chamber and higher-flow ports, along with a claimed 6 percent increase in peak power and a 2kg weight reduction. We can expect the production version to share a similar architecture, although some specifics may change for its intended application.
The image also reveals that the chassis has been substantially revised, with a new frame, chunkier double-sided swingarm and an underbelly exhaust replacing the previous layout. Up front, the signature bug-eye headlights have been replaced by a pair of perimeter LED units with a central main beam.
Triumph has confirmed that both Tiger models will gain increased performance for 2027, with studio images showing front-mounted radar systems on each, suggesting they may get features like adaptive cruise control and potentially blind-spot detection. The Tiger 1200 was previously spotted during Sam Sunderland’s recent round-the-world record attempt. Bodywork on both models has been updated while retaining the familiar Tiger silhouette. Full reveals are scheduled on October 27 for the Tiger 1200, on November 17 for the Street Triple 798 and on December 15 for the Tiger 900.
