Triumph has just launched the Tiger 800 XCA in India at Rs 15.16 lakh. The Tiger 800 XCA is an off-road-biased motorcycle and it sits at the top of the Tiger 800 range that comprises the 800 XR, XRx and the XCx in India.

The Tiger 800 XCA gets the same inline-three cylinder motor as the rest of the range, and makes 95hp at 9,500rpm and 79Nm at 8,050rpm. The bike comes with six rider modes - Road, Off-road, Off-Road Pro, Sport, Track and an additional Rider Customisable mode that is not available on the other off-road-biased model of the lot – the XCx.

Other features exclusive to the XCA include a full-LED headlamp, backlit switchgear, a centre stand, an aluminium sump guard, an aluminium radiator guard and CNC machined footrests. Further luxury comes in the form of heated seats, in addition to the heated grips available on the XCx. Finally, the XCA gets a few more display modes on the TFT screen and a pair of LED auxiliary lamps.

The new Tiger 800 XCA is equipped with the same 21-inch/17-inch front-rear wheel combination as the XCx, and suspension activities are taken care of by a 43mm WP USD fork and monoshock. Front brakes are 305mm discs with Brembo two-piston calipers, while rear braking is taken care of by a 255mm disc and a Nissin single-piston caliper.

The Tiger 800 XCA will go up against the BMW F 850 GS Pro Rallye that costs Rs 15.30 lakh (with the TFT display) and price-wise, it sits much closer to the bigger Tiger 1200 XCx (Rs 17 lakh) than the rest of the range.
