Honda has launched the 2018 CD 110 Dream DX as a replacement for the CD 110 Dream and priced it at Rs 48,641 for the base variant and Rs 48,931 for the carrier variant (both prices, ex-showroom, Delhi). The bare-bones commuter is also the cheapest Honda motorcycle currently on sale in India.

Commenting on the new version, Yadvinder Singh Guleria, senior vice president – sales and marketing, Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMSI), said, “The iconic CD brand has been winning the trust of millions of customers globally since 1966. Taking forward its legacy, 2018 CD 110 Dream DX offers the same level of trust and reliability. We are confident that the new edition too will garner good response from our customers, especially when there are sentiments in rural demand.”

Powering the CD 110 Dream DX is the same 110cc motor as seen on other Honda Dream series offerings. The air-cooled, single-cylinder engine produces 8.3hp and 9.1Nm of torque. The motor is paired to a four-speed gearbox. Talking about features, the CD 110 Dream DX gets electric self-start, tubeless tyres, viscous air filter and lockable utility box under the centre panel. The Honda commuter bike has 179mm of ground clearance and weighs just 109kg.

Honda’s Dream series has never managed to gain the popularity enjoyed by Hero's commuter offerings and Honda will be hoping that the updated CD 100 Dream DX will help in reviving sales. It faces competition from Hero HF Deluxe, TVS Sport and Bajaj Platina.
