Ford EcoSport (Production Version)
EcoSport is built on Ford’s award-winning global compact car platform (B2E) developed with Mazda.
Production version largely sticks to the original concept.
Side profile carried-over from the orignal.
Rear three-quarter view has the typical SUV look.
Interiors largely carried over from the Fiesta.
EcoSport will come with an all-new EcoBoost engine.
The car will also get the 1.5-litre diesel engine that currently does duty in the Fiesta.
Dual-tone interiors give an up-market feel.
The roof gets chrome rails and the rear side windows have the familiar Ford upwards kink in the window line.
The five-door EcoSport gets chunky, technical styling, and a very space-efficient interior.
The EcoSport’s main competitors will include the upcoming Renault Duster, Maruti’s production version of the XA-Alpha SUV, and compact SUVs from Volkswagen and Skoda which will be unveiled in future.
Interiors quite similar to the Ford Fiesta saloon.Lots of bits shared here.
