Tesla has opened its first showroom, called the Tesla Experience Centre, in Mumbai’s Bandra Kurla Complex area, and soon, a second one is going to follow in Delhi. Initial registrations and deliveries will only start in Delhi, Gurugram and Mumbai, with other cities following in a phased manner. The dealerships will function on a direct-sales model. Tesla will also setup its Supercharging network in India, beginning with Mumbai and Delhi, with 16 Supercharging stations in each city. The American company also says it will build after-sales service centres in Mumbai and Delhi and invest in delivery hubs, workplaces and logistics to support owners.
