Mini has unveiled two one-off Countryman models, built with Austrian design studio Vagabund. Each gets a different theme - one uses a silver, white and beige colour scheme, while the other goes with an all-black finish. The main highlight of these cars is the sound. They get external speakers in place of the rear-most side windows, and the speaker housings are made from cast polymer granite. Mini says this provides ideal conditions for precise and unadulterated sound reproduction.. There are also tweeters and mid-range speakers built into the body, along with subwoofers at the rear for use when the tailgate is open. Each car also gets an external Walkman mounted in a 3D-printed housing. Other changes include raised suspension, 20-inch wheels and 3D-printed wheel covers with a speaker-inspired design. Vagabund, which specialises in customised cars and motorcycles, has also worked on models such as the Porsche 944 Safari, Porsche 924 Safari, Lada Niva, Porsche 911 SC and BMW 850i. The two Countryman concepts will debut at Auto China 2026 in Beijing.
