Kinetic Green has revived a piece of Indian scooter nostalgia with the launch of the DX electric scooter. This new-age EV pays homage to the original Kinetic Honda DX, a familiar name on Indian roads through the late ’80s and early ’90s.

Visually, the new DX retains the original’s iconic boxy silhouette but updates it with modern touches like full-LED lighting, chunky 12-inch wheels, a flyscreen featuring an illuminated KINETIC logo, and some metal bodywork. It also gets an 8.8-inch colour LCD display that mirrors the layout of the original DX’s instrument cluster. A red ‘READY’ starter button further nods to the classic Kinetic Honda’s switchgear design. The DX features a 704mm-long seat, 165mm ground clearance, and a 1,314mm wheelbase. It rides on a 100/80-12 front tyre with a 220mm disc brake and offers regenerative braking as well.

The Kinetic DX is priced from Rs 1.11 lakh, going up to Rs 1.17 lakh for the higher-spec DX+ variant (ex-showroom, Pune). It comes with a standard 3-year/30,000km warranty, which can be extended up to 9 years or 1 lakh kilometres. Bookings for both the DX and DX+ are currently open on the company’s official website.
