Honda has used the foundations of the Hornet 2.0 to create the CB200X adventure tourer.
Changes up front include the addition of a semi-fairing, tinted windscreen and handguards.
The semi-fairing flows neatly into the fuel-tank, and the CB200X also gets faux radiator shrouds.
The integration of the turn indicators into the handguards is a neat touch that adds premiumness.
The changes at the front of the bike make it look more substantial and give the CB200X a good deal of road presence.
The new belly pan is made from plastic and unlikely to provide much protection against impact. Ground clearance remains the same 167mm as the Hornet.
The 184.4cc air-cooled engine is also the same, producing identical 17.3hp and 16.1Nm figures, mated to the same 5-speed gearbox.
Block-pattern tyres add a touch of off-road ability, but there is no additional suspension travel on offer.
The wider and taller handlebar results in a more commanding riding position, and combined with the windscreen, makes for a more touring-friendly motorcycle.
A pair of large risers have been used to bring the handlebar closer to the rider.
The digital LCD display is the same as that of the Hornet, but now mounted on the back of the fairing.
The CB200X is priced at Rs 1.44 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi), making it Rs 14,000 more expensive than the Hornet 2.0
