The KTM 790 Duke has received its most comprehensive update yet, adopting a new design language shared with the 990 Duke and 1390 Super Duke R. The changes include a redesigned headlight unit, a larger front fairing, new bodywork and a reshaped fuel tank. The 799cc LC8c parallel-twin engine carries over unchanged, but is now paired with a newly designed exhaust and muffler, while Pirelli Diablo Rosso IV tyres replace the previous rubber as standard. The bike has also received several notable ergonomic updates. These include a new handlebar with a more open sweep, repositioned rider and pillion footpegs, and a revised seat that KTM says delivers a more natural riding position. A new subframe, revised triple clamps and the reshaped fuel tank are also claimed to improve front-end feel and feedback. Suspension duties continue to be handled by WP APEX units, although both the fork and rear shock have been revised. Despite its larger visual presence, KTM claims the updated 790 Duke is 2kg lighter than its predecessor.
