Pune’s SB Road is still wet after overnight rains, and the light is golden. There is also the threat of imminent rain, which is why one finds people hurrying towards their destination. All of a sudden, a sonorous exhaust note rents the air, and a distinctive shape cuts through the sparse traffic. Everyone stops to look at the blue-coloured automobile that whizzes past them. That automobile is India’s first Lamborghini Huracán Evo RWD Spyder and behind its wheel is Prasad Nagarkar.

The new Huracán RWD Spyder, purchased by Nagarkar last month, is powered by a naturally aspirated V10 engine and, as the name implies, it sends 610 horses to the road via its rear wheels only. A 7-speed, dual-clutch auto handles transmission duties.

Life Goals And Lambos
Nagarkar, scion of the prominent Pune-based S.S. Nagarkar jewellers, loves being fit and driving fast cars.

The car’s extremely lightweight soft top takes 17 seconds to deploy or retract, and the same can be done at speeds of up to 50kph. The Lambo features the exclusive ANIMA (Adaptive Network Intelligent Management) technology, which allows drivers to adapt the vehicle’s behaviour to their driving needs. The Huracán RWD Spyder can accelerate from 0 to 100kph in just 3.5sec and boasts a top speed of 324kph. The sporty, yet elegant interiors of the Huracán RWD Spyder are designed to provide an immersive experience, and the cockpit features the latest Lamborghini Infotainment System II with a 12.3-inch hi-res TFT instrument panel.

The story of the man who owns the Huracán RWD Spyder is no less interesting. Prasad Nagarkar, who helms the well known S.S. Nagarkar Jewellers, is the third-generation scion of the Nagarkar family. Along with his brother Pushkar, he has taken the business to new heights by creating exclusive designs inspired by traditional ones. His role model is none other than his father, Vasant Nagarkar. Nagarkar, who was adjudged a youth icon last year by Poornawad Yuva Forum, is a fitness enthusiast and loves driving exotic automobiles. The Huracán RWD Spyder is a perfect match for Nagarkar, and embodies his drive and determination. It is also an apt reward for someone who has put in hours of tireless work towards realising his dreams. Nagarkar chose it not just because it was a powerful car – and the first of its kind in India – this Lambo also has technology that excites him. These include the Lamborghini Double Clutch (Lamborghini Doppia Frizione – LDF) transmission, which, he says, maximises driving pleasure. Nagarkar’s pride in his acquisition can be evidenced from the words etched on its door sill – ‘Made for Prasad Nagarkar’.

Life Goals And Lambos
This Lambo can breach the ton in 3.5 seconds.

Nagarkar – and his Lamborghini – is evidence of what folks with single-minded focus and out-of-the-box thinking can achieve.
