If you are a motorcyclist, 2021 could turn out to be an interesting year, with a bunch of new models and updates on the way. Here’s what you could expect to arrive on our shores — and hopefully, into your garage — in the next ten months or so.
1. Royal Enfield Classic 350: The buzz is that Royal Enfield is busy at work on their new Classic 350. The Classic 350 is among the several models expected to built on the company’s new 350cc platform, which the much appreciated Meteor debuted on last year. The Classic 350, which will be equipped with a 20.07 PS motor, will be compliant with BS6 emission norms.
2. Kawasaki W175: If you think retro-cool is the way to go this year, the Kawasaki W175 might just be up your alley. The motorcycle’s 177cc air-cooled, BS-compliant engine will generate about 13PS and generate 13.2Nm of torque, and will feature high levels of localisation.
3. TVS Fiero 125: Will TVS bring back the Fiero moniker this year and will it adorn a 125cc motorcycle? These are the questions swirling around in the ether. In case that happens, expect a characteristically smooth engine that will produce around 9-10PS and a commuter oriented setup that will include front disc and rear drum brakes.
4. Hero eMaestro: The action in the electric scooter segment is hotting up, and the world’s largest two-wheeler company could be getting into it in a big way this year. Their choice of weapon? The eMaestro, the electric version of their popular Maestro scooter.
5. KTM RC 200 – 2021 Update : This year will see KTM update its RC range, and among the motorcycles that will get refreshed include the RC200. The tweaks are mostly likely to be restricted to the looks and the features
