Honda has confirmed that it will bring its midsize SUV, the ZR-V, to India as a brand builder, alongside other models. The ZR-V sits below the CR-V in Honda’s product line-up and will be imported to India as a CBU (completely built unit).

What is the expected price of the Honda ZR-V?

Likely to be priced in the range of Rs 50 lakh to Rs 60 lakh

Since the Honda ZR-V will come to India as a CBU, its ex-showroom price is expected to be between Rs 50 lakh and Rs 60 lakh.

What does the Honda ZR-V exterior look like?

Has the proportions of a premium crossover rather than an SUV

The Honda ZR-V’s proportions lean more towards a premium crossover than an SUV. The ZR-V sports LED headlamps and an octagonal grille with vertical and horizontal slats. The front bumper has functional air vents on the sides, and its lower portion is finished in black.

The lower part of ZR-V also gets a black cladding all around, including the wheel arches. While the wheel sizes on the global model range from 17 to 19 inches, the India-spec ZR-V’s alloy wheel sizes are not yet known. The SUV’s side profile is mostly clean, with a subtle character line that runs across the lower part of the doors.

At the rear, the ZR-V features LED tail-lights and a dual-tone black-and-silver bumper, along with exhausts finished in chrome.

What does the ZR-V interior look like, and what features will it have?

Gets a neat-looking dash and expected to come with an ADAS suite

Expect the ZR-V’s interior to have a dual-tone theme. The key highlights on the global-spec model are a free-standing touchscreen infotainment system and a digital display. The ZR-V comes with a button-operated gear shift panel instead of a conventional gear lever.

The feature list is expected to include Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a powered driver’s seat, a wireless charging pad, dual-zone climate control, a sunroof, a powered tailgate and an ADAS suite.

What engine and transmission will the Honda ZR-V have?

A petrol hybrid powertrain is expected

The India-spec ZR-V is likely to come with a 2.0-litre 4-cylinder hybrid engine mated to an e-CVT gearbox, producing 180hp and 240Nm of torque.

What cars will the Honda ZR-V rival in India?

Likely to target the premium SUV segment

The Honda ZR-V will likely compete against SUVs such as the Volkswagen Tiguan and Skoda Kodiaq Lounge.
