We would suggest you look at the Skoda Kylaq, the gearbox is a smooth torque converter unit, and the engine is peppy enough. The only issue is that rear space is tight. If this is important for you, then you can add the Honda Amaze to your shortlist. The CVT autobox isn't as smooth as the unit on the Kylaq, but its still better than an automated manual (AMT) gearbox. With the Honda Amaze, you will find a reliable and spacious car and the sedan body style will give you more boot space too.
