What is the best replacement for a Renault Duster diesel?

There's no direct replacement for the erstwhile Duster diesel, but there are a few petrol-only alternatives with similar driving manners to consider.

I own a Renault Duster and I am forced to sell it due to the 10-year diesel rule. I need to buy an SUV that is as comfortable and stable as the Duster. I like the Volkswagen Taigun, but rear space is compromised.

Autocar India says: Unfortunately, there is no real equivalent to the diesel Duster, which was an outstanding vehicle. We like the Volkswagen Taigun and Skoda Kushaq, which have the same stability and confidence-inspiring dynamics as the Duster. However, if you find the rear seat of these two SUVs cramped, you could consider the Duster’s twin – the Nissan Kicks – which is still being sold, but in petrol-only form. The Kicks, which shares the same underpinnings as the Duster, also has the same driving dynamics. However, bear in mind that the Kicks could be discontinued soon, although the spares and service will continue to be offered.
