Key features needed: automatic gearbox, low maintenance, safety, rear AC vents, and comfort for long drives. Would prefer a petrol variant. I am inclined towards the Tata Sierra / Harrier. Are these worth the wait?

The new Tata Sierra will launch on November 25 and could meet your requirements. It will come with a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine as well as a 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine, both paired with automatic gearbox options.
However, we cannot give a definitive recommendation without experiencing the Sierra ourselves. We will be driving it at the end of November, so stay tuned for our review.
The Harrier petrol is expected to go on sale soon after the Sierra arrives and, again, could be worth the wait.
