The Hyundai Venue Turbo DCT HX 8 is a good option for you. The new-gen Venue is much roomier now, has a decent boot space, and enough ground clearance for Indian roads. The 1.0-litre turbo motor is a fun unit. The DCT is snappy and pairs well with the engine, making overtakes effortless. Hyundai has also sorted the Venue’s suspension, and the Venue now feels pliant and composed. Since you are going to be driving in the city mostly, it will be better to takea few precautions while driving to make sure your DCT serves you well for a long:
- Easy on the pedal- it will give you better fuel efficiency
- In heavy bumper-to-bumper traffic, don't inch forward by managing the brake. This causes the clutch to slip and overheat. It's better to wait for a small gap, let the car fully engage the gear, and then move.
- If you’re at a long signal for more than 20 seconds, it's better to shift to Neutral. It lets the clutches disengage and cool down, keeping the clutch in better shape longer
- If you’re on an incline, use the brake or Hill-Hold Assist instead of using the throttle to keep the car from rolling back, to avoid transmission overheating.
