The stock speakers in my i20 are okay but nothing great. Thinking of either changing the whole setup or just adding a subwoofer. For anyone who's done it, is the difference actually noticeable?

Hi, I am currently using an i20 Active diesel and am looking for a change to an automatic. Could you please suggest a diesel automatic car, such as the Sierra, Creta, Seltos, or any other suitable option? My usage is around 20-30% in the city and 70-80% on long drives.

With 70-80% highway usage and a preference for a diesel automatic, the Kia Seltos diesel automatic is the most sensible upgrade from your i20 Active. The Seltos diesel is a good highway performer with a refined engine, a well-sorted automatic gearbox and a comfortable, premium cabin. The 1.5 diesel is very efficient too.The Tata Sierra diesel automatic is a good alternative if you prioritise ride comfort, rear seat space and a large boot, but the Seltos is the more polished and proven product overall.

Finally sold my old i20 last week after almost two years of trying to decide whether to keep it as a second car. Got less than I expected for it, but honestly relieved not to be paying insurance and parking for two cars anymore.

I have an elite i20 2018 model my stock size is 195/55 r16 but I want to install 195/60 r16 because that's the tyre comes in Geolandar XCV newly launched by Yokohama. I am confident enough that these upsize will not hamper but I want to know that installing these tyres will it be good? As my i20 is lightweight compared to SUV and these tyres are mostly made for SUV and heavy vehicle so am I putting an extra load by adding these heavy tyres, will it damage my enitre dynamics drastically? I want a superior braking, and a good comfort road noise minimisation could be average but should not be too soft that it gets easily punctured or cracks in sidewall while hitting a potholes. heard many reviews of UC 6 getting punctures and cracks in sidewalls due to potholes. Turanza 6i is also an alternative but comes with the same problem too much soft compound and I drive like idgaf in potholes without any stress. Another good option is blue earth gt max shall I consider it but heard that wet grip is not that great and doesn't feel good in steering. As the geolandar xcv launched newly in India so I was kinda leaned towards its preference but as it is made for only Suv and crossover am kinda in doubt what should I do. Please suggest something worth invsting my money for.

The Geolandar XCV is a good tyre, but it is designed for SUVs and crossovers, and your Hyundai i20 is a much lighter car. The tyre will be heavier than your stock tyre, and that will add unsprung weight, which will affect ride quality and handling. The sidewall will also be stiffer than a typical hatchback tyre, which could make the ride harsher on a light car like the i20. The upsize from 195/55 R16 to 195/60 R16 is not huge, but it will increase the overall diameter by about 3.5%, which will slightly affect speedometer accuracy and gearing.If your priority is durability and resistance to sidewall damage, the Geolandar XCV will do the job, but it is overkill for an i20.

I am new to driving and am looking for a sub-4-metre petrol SUV with a torque converter automatic gearbox. My budget is around Rs 12-13 lakh on-road. I have shortlisted two options: the Skoda Kylaq Signature automatic and the Mahindra XUV 3XO MX2 Pro automatic. We are a family of five. My current usage is mostly within the city, but based on my future work requirements, it could shift to an 80:20 mix of city and highway driving.

Go for the Skoda Kylaq Signature AT. For a new driver with predominantly city use, its 1.0 TSI with a 6-speed torque-converter automatic is smooth and easy to drive, while the compact dimensions make it relatively easy to manage in traffic. It also has a more mature, planted feel on the highway.The Mahindra XUV 3XO MX2 Pro AT is the better choice if rear-seat space is the priority. Its cabin is wider and more accommodating for a family of five, and its 1.2 turbo-petrol makes 200Nm, giving it stronger low-end and mid-range performance than the Kylaq.However, the 3XO's boot is also one of its compromises, while the Kylaq offers a better balance of driving dynamics, boot space and highway manners. With your usage potentially becoming 80:20 city/highway, the Kylaq's combination works particularly well.

Which car should I buy among Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara Petrol base or Kia Seltos petrol base? And also tell me if anyone has faced power issue or pickup issue while overtaking as I want the car for long term.

Between the two, the Seltos is the better choice, especially if you are looking at the base variant. It feels more premium, is the newer product and offers a more complete package even in its lower variants.The 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol makes 115hp and 144Nm. It isn't a particularly powerful engine, but it is smooth and refined and is perfectly adequate for normal city driving.For overtaking, it won't have the punch of the Seltos turbo, but it isn't underpowered either. With a full load and during quick highway overtakes, you may need to plan ahead and use higher revs. The Grand Vitara's 1.5 petrol is also a smooth, simple powertrain, but its performance is more relaxed and the base variant is quite sparsely equipped.
