My 2011 Honda Jazz has run 40,000km and I want to replace and upsize the Goodyear GT3 tyres 175/65 R-15 to 195/60 R-15, preferably Michelin. Is it a good choice, and which would you suggest between the XM2 and Primacy 3ST? The tyre dealer I spoke to says an upgrade to 195 will cause loss of pick-up as it will add pressure on the steering. Is this correct?

AAA You can safely upsize to 195/60 R-15s without any loss of pick-up. In fact, the road holding will improve with the 195s. The choice of tyre depends on your running conditions. If your running is mainly in the city, then the XM2 is a good choice as it gives a more comfortable ride. If you frequently run on the highway, then you can opt for the Primacy 3ST.
