•26wCurrently driving a Honda City and love its comfort, but now my family is growing and I need more space. I’m considering upgrading to a 7-seater SUV like the Tata Safari or the Mahindra XUV700. After the GST cut, how much does the Safari price really reduce? Will it be closer to my 18 lakh budget, or will I still be required to stretch my budget? I want to decide before the festive season deals start.

The Tata Safari, currently priced between ₹15.49 lakh and ₹27.44 lakh (ex-showroom), has an on road price in Ahmedabad ranging from ₹17.44 lakh to ₹30.75 lakh. Following the recent GST revision, Tata Motors has indicated a potential price reduction of up to ₹1.45 lakh for the Safari.
For your ₹18 lakh budget, this may bring entry-level variants closer to your range, but mid- and top-spec models will still require a stretch.
