MotoGP San Marino GP and DTM Sachsenring coming up this weekend as well.

F1 heads to a brand-new venue this weekend, with Madrid hosting the Spanish GP. The 5.414 km Madring will be a very different challenge compared with Monza just a week ago, and drivers will need to get to grips with the new track quickly. In addition to F1, the venue will also host F2 and even the F3 championship finale.

MotoGP, meanwhile, heads to Misano for the San Marino GP, while DTM will race at Sachsenring. Here is your complete guide on when and where to tune in from India:

F1 Spanish GP schedule

The new Madrid track features everything from tight and twisty corners to flowing sections and even the La Monumental banked curve (with a 24 percent gradient). While it will certainly be a challenge for the drivers, this will also make it tricky for teams to find the right setup.

“It’s a crazy circuit,” Esteban Ocon said during the Thursday press conference. “There’s a lot of risk-reward on when to go fast, getting close to the walls. Yes, that’s going to reward the people that take the most risk. But [there are] a lot of unknowns and that’s very good because hopefully it will bring opportunities for the cars in the midfield.”

Kimi Antonelli extended his F1 championship lead to 66 points after winning his home race at Monza. However, as Ocon pointed out, a new track like Madring can throw up some unexpected results. McLaren is also expected to be stronger here, given that the team has been the most competitive at high downforce circuits like the Hungaroring and Zandvoort.

Just 24 points separate the top three in the MotoGP championship heading into the San Marino GP.

Aragon was expected to be a strong venue for Marc Marquez and the reigning world champion delivered, winning both the sprint and feature races. Bezzecchi (who is still recovering from injuries sustained at Sachsenring) is third overall, five points behind Marquez.
