I currently own a Jeep Compass and want to get an additional car for my father, with good reliability, unlike the Jeep. My father still drives a 2008 Honda City, and I am torn between a few choices: the Honda City, Skoda Slavia, Nissan Tekton and Toyota Hyryder. Hello Autocar, I have shortlisted three cars: the Honda City 1.5 naturally aspirated, Honda Elevate and Skoda Slavia 1.5 TSI. I am looking for a peaceful ownership experience and plan to keep the car for a long time, possibly around 10 years. I really like the Honda Elevate, especially the ADV Edition, but I keep hearing about its NVH levels. Is it still a good choice for long-term ownership? I also like the Skoda Slavia 1.5, but I am a little concerned about its long-term ownership and reliability. I have not yet driven the facelifted Honda City, although I particularly like its looks, especially in silver. Most of my driving will be in the city, in Bangalore, with a highway trip roughly once every two months. I do not drive every day and generally use the car for commuting to the office two or three days a week. Considering my usage and my priority of hassle-free long-term ownership, which of these three would be the right choice for me?

I am very confused between the Honda City V MT and Skoda Slavia Signature 1.0 MT. I have driven both and really liked the City's smooth engine. However, I feel the Slavia is better built. I also plan to travel to various places over the next five years, so I am inclined towards the Slavia because of its better build, driving feel and higher ground clearance. Please advise which one I should choose.

Hi everyone, I have a budget around 13 lakh and my annual running is around 8,000 km. I'm confused between buying a sedan or compact SUV like Kia Seltos etc. as I have sold my Tata Punch last month that I owned almost for 4.5 years but now I want to purchase good and elegant looking car that can last for 7 to 9 year without any hassle. Me and my wife have shortlisted cars like New Honda City SV variant, New Skoda Slavia Base one, or Upcoming Virtus in sedan segment. In suv segment, I have shortlisted cars like Seltos, Grand Vitara, etc. My wife wants to shortlist sedan. Please suggest me which one should I go for as it's the matter of investing my hard earned money. Also, which car will have good resale value in future.

I am currently using my dad's Maruti Ritz and wish to upgrade to a more premium sedan or SUV. My current shortlist includes the Toyota Hyryder Strong Hybrid, Skoda Slavia, and Honda City e:HEV. Several thoughts and concerns keep coming to mind regarding each vehicle. The Hyryder is not a proper SUV, and its 3-cylinder engine has more vibration than 4-cylinder engines. The Slavia's 4-cylinder engine is giving single-digit fuel efficiency, especially with the E20 fuel concerns. I am also worried about the long-term maintenance of its turbo engine. The City e:HEV is priced above Rs. 20 lakh, attracting luxury tax, and its on-road price goes beyond Rs. 25 lakh. I am not sure whether the cost-benefit equation will work in favour of the City. The Slavia facelift is also around the corner. I wish to keep my next car for at least 10 years.
